MarketsCoder is pay as you go. There's no subscription and no minimum: you add credit to your balance, and what you use is charged against it at these prices. Writing and editing algorithms, and storing them, is free.
Backtests$0.005 per minute
Charged for the time a backtest runs: $0.30 an hour. Most daily-data backtests take a minute or two.
Live and paper trading$0.05 per hour
For each running deployment, about $36 a month if it runs all the time. Stopped deployments are free.
AI assistantModel cost + 20%
Claude Opus 5.5: $4.80 per million input tokens and $24 per million output tokens (cached input $0.24).
AI agentsModel cost + 20%
The same rates, plus the backtests an agent runs. Each run has a budget you set, and stops when it's spent.
Your balance
- New accounts get a one-time $5 credit when they activate, to try backtests and the AI assistant.
- Top up from the Billing page, where the payment methods and their minimums are shown. Prices are in US dollars.
- The Billing page shows every charge, and this month's use of each item, as it happens.
- Your broker or exchange charges its own fees for the trades your algorithms place; we don't add to them.
- We give at least 14 days' notice of a price change. See the Terms of Service.
